My Walk & Train Service is ideal for you because I handle the training while you're busy, and report back to you when you’re free - so you’re always in the picture.
Your dog learns essential skills, and gets the mental stimulation they need to thrive in our world, while you enjoy the results.
Would that work for you?

Ready for a carefree break?
Hi, I’m Kate
Owner of Kindred Dogs.
I’m dedicated to helping dogs and their people develop happy, healthy relationships through positive reinforcement, clear communication and mutual understanding.
I could be the right trainer or sitter for you, if:
You see your dog as not just a pet, but an important member of your family
You want to work with someone who combines careful expertise with compassion
You don’t want to use training methods or tools which force, shock, scare, hurt or intimidate your dog
You’re open to change and ready to learn - because your dog’s comfort and confidence mean the world to you.

Feel safe in the knowledge
I’m taught by some of the most respected professionals in the field of dog behaviour & canine care
As a certified dog trainer from the Victoria Stilwell Academy, using force-free and positive reinforcement training methods (rewarding with things the dog finds good), I’m also a supporting member of the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter.
Here in the UK, dog training is still unregulated, so great care should be taken when choosing somebody to look after or advise you how to be with your dog.
Membership of this charter indicates that I am aligned to a certain set of ethics and a professional standard of conduct.
I only ever use compassionate, reward-based training techniques. These methods help build and strengthen a bond of trust between you and your dog, and that’s crucial because trust is the foundation of everything when it comes to connecting & working successfully with your dog.
Rest assured…
Rest assured, while I certainly do love dogs and all the fun & joy they bring us,
I take my professional responsibilities seriously, so of course, I’m fully insured, and DBS checked.
To keep me well-informed and safely up to date, I regularly refresh Canine First Aid Training with Rachel Bean RVN.
And to further my training education, I attend the most brilliant workshops with my friend & mentor,
Claire Staines at Lothlorien Dogs, and with other respected dog pros including Simone Mueller and Lisa Waggonner, to name just a few.
I keep learning & developing because I love being able to offer the best for dogs and their people.
